Jackie Dielmann - Plumewood Dr.

My husband, Leo, and I moved to the neighborhood in 1994. We had 2 toddlers at the time and another on the way. We raised our 3 boys in this wonderful neighborhood with all 3 attending Spicewood ES, Canyon Vista MS, and Westwood HS. I taught at Spicewood ES for 23 years and just retired 2 years ago! Our roots are deep here and we are still enjoying it! We love our street and our neighbors and we feel like we are the luckiest people in the world!

I've served on the board of the Balcones Sharks swim team for several years. I coordinated volunteers for the swim meets. I was also on the PTA Board when my children were at Spicewood (before I started working there). I also served on the Westwood Lacrosse team for several years, as well. Professionally, I was on the Leadership team at Spicewood ES and a grade level team lead, too.

I feel my skills as a teacher of small children (creativity, flexibility, and passion) as well as serving on several boards have provided me with many skills that could be helpful on the HOA board. I would love to give back to our special neighborhood after living here for 31 years! I finally have some time!

Karlotta DesJarlais - Clearock

After graduating from the University of Texas, Austin, (HOOK’EM) I went on to get my MBA and lived both on the west coast and the east coast.

I met my husband, Michael DesJarlais when I was working on my masters.  We married and had our son, Jackson who is now in the 4th grade.  (time flies!) I had a long  career in the fashion industry as an Apparel Buyer/Merchant for companies like Ann Taylor and Macy’s.  I loved the fast pace environment, travel, meeting such fabulous people and developing life long friendships, and of course all things fashion!!  I now own  a House of Colour franchise here in Austin that provides color and style analysis and services so clients can look and feel their best!

Knowing I always wanted to raise my son back home in Texas, we joyfully moved back to Austin in the fall of 2018. We landed in this wonderful neighborhood after months of searching for our place to call home.  We have loved this community.

I have served on several boards and have been involved in several non-profit organizations that focus on doing good in the community from an international women’s organization, Junior League, and Children’s Support League, to just recently serving as President of our PTA at our fantastic elementary school, Spicewood.  I look forward to continue the wonderful traditions this neighborhood has built and create new ones that will bring our diverse community together for years to come!

Becky McLain – Pencewood Dr

Our family moved here about 6 1/2 years ago - 100% for its schools.  I realized very quickly that our new close-by neighbors would soon become close in my heart as well.  Walking my dog around the neighborhood has allowed me to meet new neighbors every time I walk and catch up with the ones I haven't seen in a while.

I have served on the board of the Westwood Women's Lacrosse Team, been a member of the Balcones Country Club Women's Association and a contributor to our local Stroll Magazine.

My goal is to help build better communication between our HOA board and our neighbors (both the long-time residents and the new friends just moving in) and to build our HOA membership so we can do some really great things in the 'hood!!!
