Christmas Trees 2020
BV/S is famous for its annual Christmas tree display. Since the early 80’s our neighborhood has been delighting all who travel through with decorated trees lining our streets. It’s a tradition you definitely want to be a part of each year!
Trees are available for purchase to members and non-members in the Balcones Village and Spicewood at Balcones Village neighborhoods only.
Tree delivery is quite an event in the neighborhood. Tree elves arrive bright and early at the clubhouse to grab some hot chocolate, coffee and breakfast tacos before loading up and heading out. Maps in hand, trees are hand-delivered to homes and the neighborhood comes alive with decorating. Listen for the trailers rolling through the neighborhood dropping off trees and the elves yelling “Happy Holidays!”
So grab a couple of strands of big old fashioned lights and be a kid again. There’s nothing like decorating a tree to get in the spirit. Watch our community glow with excitement!
Many homes already have a PVC pipe in the yards ready for the tree placement. You might want to start looking for it now if you don't remember where it is. Poke around with an upside down rake.
If you receive a "Charlie Brown" tree, contact the Tree Person IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait days and expect there to be replacement trees available. We will do what we can, but we can only do what we can. (That's profound, if I do say so myself.) These are trees. They are not all the same. Love the tree you're with. (There was song about that ...)
